The MENDAKI Study Loan Part Time Local Degree\/Diploma is available for all Muslim students. It aims to uplift the educational performance of the Muslim Community by providing interest-free loans to Muslim students who require financial aid. It helps to partly finance students who are pursuing a part-time degree or diploma course at accredited private tertiary institutions locally.

\nApplication Period<\/strong><\/p>\n

13 January 2026 \u2013 28 February 2026
\n1 April 2026 \u2013 31 July 2026
\n1 September 2026 \u2013 31 October 2026<\/p>\n


\nEligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

To apply for the MENDAKI Study Loan Part-Time Degree\/Diploma, applicants must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Muslim Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident.<\/li>\n
  2. Have gained an unconditional admission for a part-time degree or diploma at any local autonomous institution or Edutrust accredited local private institution of higher learning with Edutrust and Edutrust Star certifications only. Applicants may check for their institutions\u2019 Edutrust status here.
    \n\u27a4 Check your institution\u2019s EduTrust status here<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Applicants will be required to use their Skills Future Credit or other related government grants before applying for the study loan.<\/li>\n
  4. Applicants to provide two guarantors who are acceptable to MENDAKI. The Loans Committee will determine their acceptability based on the following criteria:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    1. \n
        \n
      1. Singaporean and residing in Singapore.<\/li>\n
      2. Between 21 and 55 years old.<\/li>\n
      3. Minimum basic monthly income of $2,000 and not an undischarged bankrupt.<\/li>\n
      4. Household Restrictions:\n
          \n
        1. Only one guarantor may reside in the same household as the applicant.<\/li>\n
        2. The two guarantors should not from the same household.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        3. Guarantors cannot be an existing MENDAKI loan holder or guarantor for another MENDAKI loan.<\/li>\n
        4. Guarantors will be prompted to submit their citizenship and income details through SingPass MyInfo.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n


          \nLoan Quantum Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          1. PCI > $750 : Up to $8,000 each year<\/li>\n
          2. PCI \u2264 $750 : Up to $12,000 each year<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            The Study Loan covers the entire duration of study, for up to 4 years.
            \nIn addition to the Per Capita Income (PCI) of the applicant\u2019s household, MENDAKI will also consider the accreditation status of the institution and the relevance of the course of study when assessing loan applications.<\/p>\n

            All decisions made by the Loans Committee are final.<\/p>\n


            \nLoan Approval and Agreement<\/strong><\/p>\n

            Loan Approval and Agreement<\/span><\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Successful applicants will be notified via email once their loan is approved.<\/li>\n
            2. To accept the loan offer, both the applicant and guarantors must electronically sign the loan agreement within one week from the date of the agreement.<\/li>\n
            3. Failure to do so will result in the revocation of the conditional approval, and a new application will be required.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Conditions of the Loan<\/span>
              \nAs stated in the loan agreement, the loan holder must fulfil the following conditions throughout the course of study:<\/p>\n

                \n
              1. Pass all subjects taken during the course.<\/li>\n
              2. No changes to the agreed period of study.<\/li>\n
              3. No changes to the course of study.<\/li>\n
              4. No withdrawal or termination from the course or institution.<\/li>\n
              5. No deferment without valid reasons.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Failure to meet any of these conditions, or any other terms in the loan agreement, will be considered a breach of contract. In such cases, the full loan amount will become immediately repayable.<\/p>\n


                \nDisbursement and Repayment<\/strong><\/p>\n

                Disbursement<\/span>
                \nThe loan will be disbursed annually throughout the course of study, based on the approved duration.<\/p>\n

                Repayment Schedule<\/span>
                \nRepayment begins: 1 month after the first disbursement
                \nInitial repayment: $50 per month<\/p>\n

                6 months after graduation, the repayment amount will be revised based on the level of study:<\/p>\n

                  \n
                1. Diploma: $100\/month<\/li>\n
                2. Degree (non-medicine\/equivalent): $250\/month<\/li>\n
                3. Degree (medicine\/equivalent): $500\/month<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  There will be a progressive annual increment of $100 thereafter.<\/p>\n

                  The full repayment schedule will be detailed in the Loan Agreement.<\/p>\n

                  Commitment to Repay<\/span>
                  \nWe seek every loan applicant\u2019s commitment to follow through with the repayment schedule. Your timely repayments ensure that MENDAKI can continue supporting other students in their educational journey.<\/p>\n


                  \nApplication Procedure
                  \n<\/strong><\/p>\n

                    \n
                  1. All applications must be submitted online.<\/li>\n
                  2. Processing will take up to 7 weeks from the date of complete a submission, including all required attachments.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Important:<\/strong>
                    \nIncomplete applications, applications not accepted by guarantors, or those that do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be processed.<\/p>\n

                    Applicants and guarantors are strongly encouraged to check their emails regularly for updates on the application status.<\/p>\n
