The MENDAKI Skills Training Loan aims to provide interest-free loans to Malay\/Muslim who wish to upgrade themselves by pursuing a recognised and work-related course.<\/p>\n


\nApplication Period<\/strong><\/p>\n

13 January 2026 \u2013 28 February 2026
\n1 April 2026 \u2013 31 July 2026
\n1 September 2026 \u2013 31 October 2026<\/p>\n


\nEligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

To apply for the Skills Training Loan, applicants must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Muslim Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents.<\/li>\n
  2. Applicant\u2019s monthly household net per capita income must not exceed $750.<\/li>\n
  3. Courses are limited to the pursuance of certificates at accredited institutions. Applications will be approved on a case-to-case basis, depending on the accreditation of the institutions.<\/li>\n
  4. Applicants will be required to use their Skills Future Credit or other related government grants before applying for the study loan.<\/li>\n
  5. Applicants are required to furnish 1 guarantor acceptable to MENDAKI. The Loans Committee will determine their acceptability based on the following criteria:\n
      \n
    1. Singaporean and residing in Singapore.<\/li>\n
    2. Between 21 and 55 years old.<\/li>\n
    3. Minimum basic monthly income of $2,000 and not an undischarged bankrupt.<\/li>\n
    4. Can be a member staying in the same household as the applicant<\/li>\n
    5. Must not be an existing MENDAKI loan holder or existing guarantor for other MENDAKI loan accounts<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n


      \nLoan Quantum Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

      One-off disbursement of up to $5,000, or up to 70% of course fee (whichever is lower). The Skills Training Loan will be used to cover the remaining course fees upon deduction of the Skills Future Credit, if any.<\/p>\n

      NOTE : The loan amount is at the discretion of the Loans Committee after taking into consideration the financial circumstances of the applicant, the course of study, accreditation of institution and other relevant criteria. The decision of the Loans Committee is final.<\/strong><\/p>\n


      \nLoan Approval and Agreement<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Successful applicants will be notified via email once their loan is approved.<\/li>\n
      2. To accept the loan offer, both the applicant and guarantors must electronically sign the loan agreement within one week from the date of the agreement.<\/li>\n
      3. Failure to do so will result in the revocation of the conditional approval, and a new application will be required.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Conditions of the Loan<\/span>
        \nAs stated in the loan agreement, the loan holder must fulfil the following conditions throughout the course of study:<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Pass all subjects taken during the course.<\/li>\n
        2. No changes to the agreed period of study.<\/li>\n
        3. No changes to the course of study.<\/li>\n
        4. No withdrawal or termination from the course or institution.<\/li>\n
        5. No deferment without valid reasons.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Failure to meet any of these conditions, or any other terms in the loan agreement, will be considered a breach of contract. In such cases, the full loan amount will become immediately repayable.<\/p>\n


          \nRepayment<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Repayment Schedule<\/span>
          \nRepayment begins: 1 month after the first disbursement
          \nInitial repayment: $50 per month<\/p>\n

          6 months after graduation, the repayment amount will be revised based on the level of study:<\/p>\n
